One of the signature features Modpools offer is that, with above-ground or sloped installations, you can have windows for underwater viewing! These can be installed on either lengthwise side of your pool, and can be up to 10’ in length (depending on your pool’s size and dimensions). You can also have an end wall window, situated opposite to the side of your pool with the mechanical room.
Our windows are made from specially treated, UV-resistant acrylic designed for long-term durability, strength, and clarity. To keep them looking their best, we recommend cleaning them regularly using warm water, a mild liquid detergent, and a soft cloth or microfiber towel. Avoid using abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, aromatic cleaners, or solvents, as these can scratch or damage the acrylic surface over time.
For routine cleaning and maintenance, a gentle glass cleaner such as Windex can also be used with excellent results. Simply apply the cleaner and gently buff away dirt, water spots, or calcium buildup using a soft cloth. With proper care and gentle cleaning practices, your window will remain clear and in excellent condition for many years to come.
As part of ongoing maintenance, the interior window seal (3M 08308) may need to be replaced annually, depending on usage and environmental conditions. We also recommend re-torquing the window bolts as part of yearly maintenance to ensure all fasteners remain properly tightened and to help prevent leaks.
