When your pool is delivered to you, you will find a tote kit in your mechanical room, which contains a number of helpful materials.
Binder Materials
The first thing you might notice is the binder, which will look something like this:
In it you'll find a variety of very useful information. Our Quick Start Guide, pictured below, has all sorts of tips and tricks on starting up your Modpool.
All the loose-leaf manuals for your equipment have also been collected and organized into clear plastic sleeves.
These, along with the bound manuals you'll find in your kit, provide a wealth of information on operating your pool equipment.
If you have any difficulty with equipment setup that these manuals can't solve, we recommend reaching out to Pentair directly. They will be able to put you directly in touch with an employee who can walk you through all the ins and outs of operating your Pentair pool equipment. Their contact information is also provided in your kit's binder.
Wi-Fi Kit
The wireless transceiver for your pool's operation is already installed in the mechanical room. In your binder, you will also find a brochure labelled Wi-Fi Kit Walkthrough, which explains how to finish setting up your Modpool's wi-fi connection.
The Wi-Fi antenna is pre-calibrated specifically for your pool, and can be set up inside your house for your convenience.
The Ethernet Cable connects to the Wi-Fi antenna, as does the charging cord and the Screenlogic Adapter Cord (pictured in succession below).
The Screenlogic Adapter Cord will connect the Wi-Fi antenna to the Screenlogic Box, which looks like this:
Repair Materials
Every so often, as with any pool, you may find some minor repairs are necessary. To facilitate such repairs, we send along all the materials you might need to perform them.
The JB MarineWeld epoxy works to seal any leaks or breakage in your pool liner.
Exterior paint repair material comes in a black spray can, pictured below, and interior paint for your liner can be mixed from four tins, labelled according to their contents and with instructions on the appropriate ratios printed on their sides (said instructions are also given here, in our liner repair guide).
The syringe is sent in a sealed package, with a separate needle securely contained in a green cap. This can be used to extract any air from bubbles that may appear in your liner over time, so that they can be effectively sealed with epoxy and painted over with your liner repair materials.
All of these materials are sent strictly as precautionary measures, to streamline your repair process if any minor maintenance issues should arise.
Other Start-Up Materials
In addition to the above materials, we include a set of pH testing strips to help you establish your pool's chemical balance. Your kit also includes a white skimmer adapter for if you choose to utilize an electronic pool vacuum.
Finally, if you purchased an electric cover, the keypad will be included in a cardboard box inside your kit, as well.
